Google Pixel 3a XL Unboxing and full tour
Re-reviewing Google's Pixel 3a XL, one of the best sub-£500 smartphones of 2019, 6 months after the release and with Android 10 on-board. From that dependable 12.2MP camera to the amazing battery living, there is masses to love concerning the Pixel 3a XL. Here is why you should consider it over many rivals, even though it lacks the efficiency of rivals such as the OnePlus 7T and Nubia Z20.
First up, the image quality from that single-lens camera is still divine. Even complicated HDR problems and evening shots aren't a hassle, despite the culling of the Pixel ISP. Of all of the devices I have reviewed in 2019, this is however the very best for the money.
Needless to say in addition, you get a share edition of Google's newest Android 10 OS, complete with loads of great new features. The black mode and motion navigation are delightful additions, and you'll get the Android 11 update come 2020.
Battery living is still successful too, served along by that energy-efficient OS. The Pixel 3a XL sports a bigger battery than the normal design, therefore you're guaranteed in full all-day play. And while the efficiency is bound by the Snapdragon 630 software, I find that PubG Cellular however plays properly all this time around later.
