Impressions of Nokia 1 Plus
Hands-on review with HMD Global's Nokia 1 Plus, an entry-level budget smartphone launching globally in March for $99 (likely £99). Here we quickly explain to you the mobile's requirements, camera hardware, Android Go UI and more at MWC 2019.
The Nokia 1 Plus is quite compact at 5.45-inches, with a polycarbonate etched frame for sale in red, black and blue. The IPS screen doesn't boast HD+ looks but it's very bright and not too grainy.
Nokia's inventory version of Android is clear and free from bloatware, which is simply as well to hold the performance not too laggy. The Mediatek chipset, guaranteed by 1GB RAM, is quite basic.
On the rear you get an 8MP camera with flash, while the selfie camera is a 5MP effort. To date the Nokia 1 Plus seems like a reasonable 2nd handset if you're after a durable and simple budget smartphone.
